India donates first 500,000 doses of vaccines to srilanka
COLOMBO, Sri Lanka (AP) — Sri Lanka's leader on Thursday invited the initial 500,000 portions of a COVID-19 immunization from India, which has given the shots to eight nations in the area.
The Oxford-AstraZeneca immunization was produced by the Serum Institute of India.
Sri Lanka said 150,000 wellbeing laborers and 115,000 chose military and police troops will be the first to be immunized at six emergency clinics in Colombo and its rural areas.
One of the medical clinics is held for COVID-19 patients while the others have separate wards for the Covid.
The Health Ministry intends to extend the inoculation mission to 4,000 medical clinics and wellbeing focuses in different pieces of the country one week from now.
